01 / About Project & Challenge

Traditional job portals are boring. The goal was to create an ecosystem that students enjoy.

Tymbe is a platform that simplifies finding part-time jobs. However, we encountered a problem: the old model felt complicated and boring. For Generation Z, work is often just a necessary evil without a vision of growth.

Key Challenges:
  • Engagement: How to attract students to the platform and keep their attention when they are used to TikTok and Instagram?
  • Motivation: Changing the perception of part-time jobs from "just a source of money" to an opportunity to gain skills.
  • Retention: Preventing students from leaving the app after just one shift.
Strategy

Gamification as the key to loyalty. From shift to level-up.

We decided to completely reshape the user experience. Instead of a boring list of ads, we designed a game world. Our strategy was based on three pillars:
  • Playfulness: The app must function and look like a game, not a labor office.
  • Rewards: Introduction of virtual currency and badges for activity.
  • Story: Each shift moves the user forward in their personal career story.
02 / Solution

Game currency "Tymcoin" and career ladder. Work that unlocks new possibilities.

We created a gamified branding with a simple storyline. The core of the system is the internal currency Tymcoin, which users earn for completed tasks and shifts.

How it works:
  • Leveling: Each shift gives XP points. Higher levels unlock better job offers.
  • Tymcoins: Virtual currency exchangeable for discounts on courses, education, or premium benefits.
  • Visual & UI: The interface uses elements known from mobile games – progress bars, achievements, and avatars.
03 / Potential Results

A gig becomes a career path. Higher retention and an engaged community.

The new Tymbe 2.0 concept transforms passive job hunting into active fun.

Key Benefits of the Concept:
Thanks to game mechanics, a significant increase in user retention is expected – students return not only for earnings but also for the feeling of progress ("level up"). The platform thus ceases to be just a bulletin board of ads and becomes an ecosystem for professional development, where Tymcoin motivates further education.
